‎In a significant political development that signals the beginning of an ambitious journey toward purposeful representation, Omooba Dr. Adeniyi Adesola Idowu, FEIPA, popularly known as Niyifola, a prominent son of the soil, philanthropist, entrepreneur, business tycoon and renowned grassroots politician, on Friday, March 13, 2026, officially declared his intention to contest for the position of Member, Ogun State House of Assembly, to represent Sagamu II (Makun) State Constituency under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

‎The historic declaration took place at the APC Ward 14 Party Secretariat, where party leaders, elders, executives, and members gathered in large numbers to witness the formal announcement of what many described as a defining moment for the constituency.

‎Niyifola, an authentic son of the soil and a royal prince from the revered Muleruwa Family of Makun, Sagamu, widely regarded as a leading aspirant for the Makun State legislative seat, reaffirmed his loyalty and unwavering commitment to the progress of the All Progressives Congress. As a bonafide and duly registered member of APC in Ward 14, he has consistently demonstrated dedication to the party’s ideals, contributing both financially and morally to its growth, unity, and success over the years.

‎Upon arrival at the party secretariat, Niyifola and his entourage were warmly received by the Ward 14 APC Chairman, Prince Obademola, who formally welcomed him and acknowledged the significance of the visit. During the occasion, the aspirant presented his official Letter of Intent declaring his aspiration to contest for the Ogun State House of Assembly seat in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.

‎In his remarks, Prince Obademola commended Niyifola for following due party procedures and described his declaration as a demonstration of respect for party structures and leadership, while acknowledging his official letter of intent. He assured the aspirant of the ward’s continued support while encouraging unity among party members as preparations gradually begin for the electoral season.

‎Addressing the gathering, Omooba Dr. Adeniyi Adesola Idowu (Niyifola) expressed deep appreciation to the party leadership, elders, executives, and supporters who came out to witness the declaration. He particularly commended the party elders and leaders for their enduring sacrifices and guidance in sustaining the strength of the APC in Ward 14 and across Sagamu.

Speaking during the gathering, a revered party elder, Elder Erinlakusa, praised Niyifola for his longstanding goodwill and contributions toward the welfare of party members and the community. He urged members of Ward 14 and the broader Sagamu II constituency to rally behind the aspirant and support his aspiration, while offering prayers for his successful emergence.

‎Similarly, the Vice Chairman of APC in Sagamu Local Government, Aare Kehinde Oseni, commended Niyifola’s philanthropic gestures and consistent support for the grassroots. He noted that the aspirant’s generosity and dedication to community development have earned him widespread respect among the people. Aare Oseni also offered prayers for divine guidance and success as Niyifola pursues his ambition.
