He also extended heartfelt gratitude to the Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, for his support, encouragement, and endorsement throughout his political journey, emphasizing that the relationship between both leaders remains cordial, solid, and founded on mutual respect and a shared vision for the development of Ogun State.
Speaking on his vision for the state, Senator Yayi stressed that he would not preside over a divided Ogun State, assuring party members that his administration would prioritize inclusiveness, grassroots development, and equitable distribution of democratic dividends. According to him, governance must directly impact ordinary citizens and create opportunities that improve the welfare of the people across all communities in the state.

The local government serves as the umbrella body, but the wards remain the foundation of our political strength,” Yayi stated.
He also called on party members to remain united and work tirelessly to secure victory for all APC candidates during the elections, stressing that the collective aspiration for a greater and more prosperous Ogun State can only be achieved through unity, commitment, and active participation in the democratic process.
Responding on behalf of party leaders and stakeholders, APC members unanimously assured Senator Yayi of overwhelming support and eventual victory in the 2027 gubernatorial election. They cited his impressive track record of service, including infrastructural development, educational support initiatives, road construction and rehabilitation projects, electricity transformer distributions, youth and women empowerment programmes, skills acquisition opportunities, and numerous other interventions that have positively impacted communities across Sagamu and Ogun State as a whole.
