OGUN: Sagamu Community Mourns The Death Of Abiodun, Murder By Unknown Gunmen
The Sagamu community area of Ogun State, as today, Tuesday, January 9th 2024, mourned the gruesome murder of a popular chief, late Folarin Abiodun popularly known as Basogun, who was murdered on Monday, by unknown gunmen at his residence in Itunsokun, area of Sagamu.
Genesis Media House reports that the death of the victim Abiodun, spread across the town around 8:00 p.m in the night hour of yesterday. The late Abiodun, before his gruesome murder, was the Basogun of Akarigbo of Remo Land and also Member of the Akarigbo Rulling in Council.
The tension of his death news are very high in the town as many are saying the man was allegedly killed by cultists but no one could really confirm this, as the information is still scanty now.
In accordance with Islamic rites, the late Chief Folarin Abiodun was laid to rest today, Tuesday, January 9th, 2024. The funeral proceedings were attended by a multitude of mourners, reflecting the profound impact he had on the community. The loss of such a vibrant and cherished individual has left a void that will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
