OGUN 2023: Sagamu APC Youth League Paid Courtesy Visit To OGD, Says He Has Formidable Credentials

The leadership of the APC Youth League, Sagamu Chapter, has yesterday Monday 26th, September 2022, paid a courtesy/familiarization visit to the APC Senatorial Candidate of Ogun East and two terms former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel – OGD, at his country home in GRA Quarters, area of Sagamu Local Government.

Erstwhile President of Sagamu Youth Association, whom also is a key playmaker in the OGD For Senate 2023 (Gateway Movement), Comr. Alabi Jamiu Olododo, received the whole youth delegations team to the venue, gave audience to the League Executives, led by its Local Government Coordinator, Comr. Hammed Sunmola – Tantala, to introduce the visiting youths delegation, Genesis Media House reports.

During his speech, Tantala congratulates OGD on announcement of his name by INEC as the Ogun East Senatorial Candidate of the Party, APC, while appreciating the former Governor for his prompt host to the Youths and also eulogise him for all the developmental well done job in the State while he was the Governor, as well as his fatherly role in the party, APC, while also assured that all the LG executives, Ward Coordinator’s and Member’s of APC Youth League, Sagamu Chapter, will render all the necessary support needed by and heed to all the requests made by the former Governor.

Tantala made it known that OGD stands the better chance to win the 2023 Senatorial election and his candidacy will also serve as a plus to the victory of other candidates in APC, noting that with an exceptional track record of performance, exceptional leadership credentials, a pan-Nigerian and nationalist stature, there is no surprise why he is the candidate to beat. “His pro-democracy credentials and his performance as Governor of Ogun State clearly stand him out,” he said.

The State Exco of the League, who is also from Sagamu, Comr. Olamide Saliu -Genesis, extolled OGD leadership qualities noted that “he propelled unprecedented peace, security, economic growth, youth inclusiveness, sport development and administrative gender-balance while he was in Office as Governor of Ogun State”.

“For us, OGD project is a God’s own project, also our project and a done deal project, he has done it before and he did it well as a Governor, so he will surely do it more better if elect as Senator to represent Ogun East Senatorial District at the Red Chamber of the National Assembly”, Genesis said in his statement, as he also notes several areas the youths can be beneficiaries of his programs if elected.

Speaking on behalf of OGD, Olododo, appreciates the enthusiasm and sagacity of the league executives for the courtesy visit, as well as their resilience, standing strong, support and loyalty to the party, APC.

Olododo further explain the plans of OGD for the party faithfuls and Ogun East constituents and its environs, towards the electioneering campaign process and beyond, where he made it known that the OGD Gateway Movement campaign will kick off on Sunday, October 2nd, 2022, at Akarigbo Palace Arcade, Sagamu, noting that there will be free multiple raffle draw tickets with many big prizes to be won.

After the productive roundtable meeting with the visiting youths, Olododo took the youths delegation to OGD office for formal presentations of their leadership.

In his reaction, the ex Governor admonished the Youth executives even as he assured of his total support for a progressive partnership that will attract more transformations, peace, unity and development to Sagamu, Ogun East district and Ogun State at a whole, as well as Nigeria at large. While he also charged the visiting youths to canvas and drums support for the success and victory of all the APC candidates come 2023.
