POLITICS: Ogun APC Are On The Verge Of Loosing Multi-thousands Card Carrying Members Over Injustice, Impunity, Sidelining, As 29,000 Members Set To Dump Party For PDP

It has come to our hearing that faction of OGUN STATE HAUSA POLITICAL MOVEMENT under the leadership of Alh. Mallam Garba are on the set to dumped the rulling party, APC, to the opposition party, People’s Democratic Party, PDP due to injustice, impunity and sidelining of members that works for the emergence of this present administration regime of Prince Dapo Abiodun.

“During the year 2019 electioneering process, the group leader Garba, organised, canvassed, supports, campaigns and also ensured that all the Hausa’s people living in the 20 local government of the state came out enmassed to vote for all APC candidates in the state. But unfortunately for their leader, Garba, after he was included among as members of the Dapo Abiodun Transition Committee, the committee that brought power to the current administrations, yet no single appointments that comes their way, nor even no any dividends of democracy”, the spokesman of the Hausa group, Alh. Hafisu Ibrahim who is from Odeda Local Government, area of the State, made this known to newsmen at Genesis Media House.

Alh. Salam Saminu, the Abeokuta North Chairman of the group, said; many of our strong members and pillars in Sagamu, Ifo, Abeokuta South, Abeokuta North, Ewekoro, Ado-Odo Ota, Ijebu North, Obafemi Owode, Odeda, Odogbolu, Imeko Afon, Ijebu East, Yewa South, Yewa North and Ipokia Local Government areas were all entised by several opposition parties, mostly the PDP, but we’ve all summoned the State Chairman, Mallam Garba to a stakeholders meeting that will hold this coming Sunday, 11th September, 2022, at the State Secretariat in Abeokuta.

While speaking, Alh. Hakeem Sanni, the Remo North Chairman of the group, said the main purpose of the meeting is for the State Chairman and his executives, to come and defends this government that have not yet do anything for their favour and the reason they wanted us to remains in the party that have sidelined them since emergence, the party that don’t brings the dividends of democracy to their doorsteps, the party that decline them the right to power, the party that doesn’t compensate hardwork of their members, the party that forcefully imposed candidates on its members, the party that wasted all the efforts and strength of die hard supporters and members that fought to the end lane with ex-Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, in order to make sure this regime led by Prince Dapo Abiodun emerged.

Speaking with the newsmen, Mallam Sulleiman Yusuf, the Yewa South Local Government Chairman of the group, adds that the fate of all their members across the 20 local government of the state will also be decided in the upcoming meeting, and the next party to decamp to, will also be officially announced, as he said they could no longer labour in vain, adding that the leadership of the party, APC and the governments, had done nothing to support or appreciate all their efforts.

“When you have people or leadership that cannot give you encouragement to carry out your vision, you take it to another place where it will be appreciated”, Yusuf added.

“We are not happy that we’re been abandoning on what we laboured for, our members are complaining, some have been enticed with money and sharing of positions that the oppositions gave them and these have caused alots of divided and separations in the group across the state, as some leaders are still pledging their loyalty to APC, some have already taken their self decisions why some are one leg-in and one leg-out. Though, the attention of the State Chairman, Mallam Garba have been called to this mass defections but the spokesman of the group, Hafizu Ibrahim, said we should wait till the day of the meeting so as to hear the feedback of the State Chairman”, Mallam Sunmani Al-Hassan, the Ifo local government Chairman of the group said.

Expressing worry over the mass defections in the group, the spokesman of the group, Mallam Hafizu Ibrahim, during an interview session said something must be done to prevent it.
Twenty-nine thousands (29,000) members that have PVC’s are threatening to decamp to PDP because they have been denied the access to dividends of democracy to their group. This is serious and something must be done to prevent it.

He said all of us known the Hausa people, if they’ve agreed on a decision making, they’ll surely did so, as he said their YES is yes and their NO is no. He further explain that the defection meant that the Hausa Political Movement loyalty and support to APC is dead in Ogun as they’ll be moving with about 29,000 supporters, including party executive members at state, local and ward levels across the State, while he also made it known that this might affect the victory of the rulling party, APC, in the upcoming 2023 general elections.

Many are concerned and we urge our able Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and the State Party Chairman, Chief Yemi Sanusi, to reach out to them as we cannot afford to lose this huge figures to the opposition party.

As of the time of filling this report, our news correspondent at Genesis Media House, have tried all possible best to reached out to the Chairman, in person of Mallam Garba to hear from him concerning his stake on this mass defections by his people, but his phones wasn’t through and the message sent to him wasn’t yet responded.
