In a bid to continue to ensure that the Youths are properly positioned for leadership and to bring the dividends of good governance at all levels of Youth engagements, the leadership of the APC Youth League Sagamu Chapter led by the Local Government Coordinator, Comrade Hammed Sunmola, popularly known as Tantala, has yesterday, Saturday, 8th, October 2022, paid a scheduled/courtesy visit to the Honorable Commissioner for Environment, Ogun State, Hon. Ola Oresanya, in his country home situated at GRA Quarters, area of Sagamu, Ogun State.
Speaking during his opening remarks, the L.G Coordinator of the League, Tantala, who firstly introduced the visiting youths, said the courtesy visit was aimed at promoting peaceful coexistence, communal dialogue and channel a pathway for a better youth development through a collective effort, and as well as congratulating the most distinguished leader on his well deserved appointment by Prince Dapo Abiodun as Honourable Commissioner for Environment and also to formally inform him of his fatherly appointment as the Patron of the APC Youth League, Sagamu Chapter, which will be officially decorated and also made known to the general public in their upcoming general meetings, which will be held at the APC Party Secretariat, Beside Royal Chemist, Ewusi Road, Sagamu, on Friday, 14th October, 2022 by 10:00 a.m, Genesis Media House reports.
The Sagamu State Exco of the APC Youth League, Ogun State Coordinate, Comr. Saliu Olamide Daniel, a.k.a Genesis, appreciated the Commissioner for welcoming the visiting youths, while noting the trials of the youths in the governance and the party, APC, as well as highlighting areas the youths can have a pride place in his ministry and also gain more benefits and be more inclusive in the government, through his environmental ministry. He further equally appreciated the Honorable Commissioner for his fatherly disposition in overseeing the affairs of the younger generation, noting that the Youth have witnessed a new inspired leadership, while he also made it known that the Youth League is not a political group as people think but a constitutional youth body in APC, which have its existence and executives at national, state, local government and ward levels of the party, APC, across the 36 states of the nation.
While presenting their areas of needs, assistance and supports, to the Commissioner, the Asst. General Secretary of the League, Alhaja Bilikisu Ajayi, noted that while the league play an important role in the party, APC and in the emergence of Governor Dapo Abiodun, it is also important to have a youthful inclusion in the cabinet folk of the governments and a rallying support for Youth activities and benefits, in the party, APC, and other areas of governance, while he urge the Commissioner to use his ministry and opportunities as a Sagamite, to add more impact to the youths fold of the party, APC, and Sagamu at a whole.
While responding, the Commissioner who was visibly elated for the visit, appreciated and welcomed the leadership of the Youth. In his response, acquiesced to the appeals and demands of the visiting Youths and vouched for his supports and also prayed for the progress of the Youth, the party APC, and the state at large, while he urge the Youths to demonstrate a unique quality leadership capacity and good ambassadorial skills.
The ward 13 Coordinator of the League, Mrs. Temitayo Rabiu, thanks the Commissioner on behalf of the visiting youths, for his prompt host, while she also pledged their unalloyed support, loyalty, commitment and cooperation to the government, and the party, APC.
Highpoint of the visit was an interactive session with the Honorable Commissioner and the betterment way for the inclusiveness and developmental benefits of youths in the governance sphere of Prince Dapo Abiodun -MFR and the party, APC, in general.
