Remo Stakeholders Unite In Support Of Hon. (Dr.) Princess Adesola Ayoola Elegbeji’s Development Agenda

In a significant show of solidarity, stakeholders from the Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo North Federal Constituency have come together to endorse the leadership and development agenda of Hon. (Dr.) Princess Adesola Ayoola Elegbeji, following a comprehensive evaluation of her performance just three months into her term at the House of Representatives.
This endorsement was formalized during a Stakeholders’ Consultative Meeting held on Tuesday at Nandas Hotel, Sagamu. The gathering attracted traditional rulers, community leaders, professionals, and civil society representatives who convened to assess the lawmaker’s initial achievements and her legislative representation approach.
Themed “Towards a United Remo: Legislative Agenda and Strategic Representation,” the forum provided Hon. Ayoola Elegbeji with the platform to inform constituents of her activities at the National Assembly since her inauguration. She presented an overview of the bills she has sponsored, motions she has moved, and her ongoing legislative engagements, all designed to address the development priorities of the constituency.
Hon. Ayoola Elegbeji emphasized that her representation style is grounded in continual consultation, transparency, and people-centred governance. She asserted that effective legislation must resonate with the realities and aspirations of constituents, affirming that sustained engagement is pivotal to her mandate.
During the meeting, Hon. Ayoola Elegbeji outlined key priorities for constituency projects, including infrastructure development, education, healthcare delivery, and initiatives focused on women and youth empowerment and wealth creation. These focus areas are aimed at driving inclusive growth and enhancing living standards across Remo communities.
A notable highlight was a presentation by her Technical Adviser on Wealth Creation, Mr. Busola Onayemi, who unveiled initiatives aimed at boosting local economic activities, enhancing skills acquisition, and supporting sustainable livelihoods within the constituency.
The importance of unity and collaborative governance was underscored by the presence of prominent traditional rulers, including HRH Oba Sikiru Ajibowu Adeilo Adeyiga, Onirolu of Irolu Remo; HRH Oba Adesegun Bolaji Alowonle, Elemuren of Emuren; and HRH Oba Dr. Surv. Adetunji Amidu Osho, Alaye Ode of Ode Remo.
Stakeholders expressed commendations for the lawmaker’s transparency, accessibility, and early performance, describing her leadership as both responsive and progressive. Contributions came from respected community figures, including Mr. Wasiu Onawole, Secretary of the Iperu Akesan Community Development Association; Prince Abdul Abayomi, President of Sagamites Club; Chief Engr. Tayo Opanubi of Ogijo, Sagamu; Alhaja Olaide Owonifari; Barr. Leke Solarin, Honourable Commissioner of the Ogun State Judicial Service Commission; and Otunba Engr. Dele Amoda of Isara Remo.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a communiqué was presented and formally adopted, with a motion moved by Mr. Wasiu Onawole and seconded by Barr. Leke Solarin. Stakeholders unanimously passed a vote of confidence in Hon. Ayoola Elegbeji, affirming their support for her legislative agenda and continued representation.
Characterizing this engagement as the beginning of an ongoing consultative process, Hon. Ayoola Elegbeji announced plans to convene a larger stakeholders’ meeting to ensure broader participation across the constituency.
Observers noted that this endorsement reflects an increasing public confidence in Hon. Ayoola Elegbeji’s leadership style, characterized by accountability, inclusive dialogue, and a steadfast focus on sustainable development throughout Remo communities.
