‎Remo Youth Association Awards Scholarship To Outstanding Student During Leadership Summit

‎The Remo Youth Association (RYA) granted a scholarship to Osifolu Semiat, a Senior Secondary School (SSS) 2 student at Mighty Model College in Akaka Remo, during the inaugural Remo Students Leadership Summit organized on July 24, 2025, by the National Association of Remo Students (NARS) at the Lafose Palace Hall.

‎Chairman of the RYA, Comrade Bidemi Solarin, announced the scholarship award during the event, emphasizing Semiat’s exceptional academic performance and her commitment to her studies. “On behalf of all RYA executives and the Remo youths, I am proud to award this scholarship to Osifolu Semiat for being the most outstanding student at her school,” Solarin stated.

‎He encouraged Semiat to maintain her dedication and to view this scholarship as an affirmation of her hard work and a stepping stone towards greater achievements in her educational career. “This opportunity highlights your seriousness and steadfastness. Keep putting in the effort, as education is the key to your future,” he advised.

‎Additionally, Solarin called upon respected personalities and dignitaries within Remo Land to unite in efforts to enhance the community through educational sponsorships and contributions. He emphasized the significance of education in advancing the community and urged everyone to invest in its youth, stating, “Together, we can reshape our community through education.”

‎The chairman also commended the organizers of the summit for their initiative in creating a platform to foster educational pursuits among the youth, remarking that such events signal a promising future for the next generations.

‎In attendance were notable figures including Hon. Yetunde Akinluyi; Olori Alaye Ode; Barrister Gbenga Sofola; Alhaji Sanni, representing Hon. Ayoola Elegbeji; Omoba Abiola Ogundeko; Comrades Yaya Onagbesan, Babatope Ogundein, and Yetunde Lawani, alongside representatives from the National Association of Remo Students nationwide.

‎The summit was marked by discussions on leadership, student empowerment, and the critical role of education in shaping the future of the Remo community. It served not only as a recognition of individual achievements but also as a call to collective action for the promotion of educational initiatives across the region.

‎As the RYA continues its mission to support local students and encourage academic excellence, the scholarship awarded to Osifolu Semiat stands as a beacon of hope and inspiration for many young individuals in Remo Land.
