“Party Supremacy Is Non-Negotiable” — Ogun East APC Chairman Charges Party Executives, Elected Officers, Appointees On Unity And Effective Governance

The Ogun East Senatorial Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Adeleke Adedoyin, popularly known as Baba Asoludero, has charged all party executives across the senatorial district to remain functional, united, and committed to synergy with government executive arms in order to deliver effective and people-centered governance.
Baba Asoludero made this call during a crucial strategic meeting with the nine Local Government Party Chairmen and Government Liaison Officers (GLOs) from the Ogun East Senatorial District. The meeting, which was held at his country home in Sagamu on Sunday, January 25, 2026, was convened to review progress, address prevailing challenges, and reinvigorate the ongoing nationwide electronic membership registration and revalidation exercise of the APC.
Speaking passionately at the meeting, the Senatorial Chairman emphasized that the party remains supreme, stressing that all elected and appointed officials emerged through the platform of the APC and therefore owe their positions to the strength, structure, and success of the party.
He urged party executives to work hand in hand with elected government officials, promoting mutual respect, cooperation, and good sportsmanship to ensure the success of the ongoing e-registration exercise. According to him, both party and government officials are members of the same political family, operating under one APC roof, and must therefore avoid unnecessary rivalry.
Baba Asoludero further clarified the distinction between the party structure and the executive arm of government, noting that while their functions may differ, their goals remain aligned. He reminded elected officers that without a vibrant and functional party, electoral success would not be possible, and governance would lack a solid foundation.
He therefore called on government executives to consciously recognize the relevance of the party structure, engage party officials respectfully, and support party activities as part of a collective responsibility to strengthen democracy and ensure good governance in Ogun East.
The meeting ended with a renewed commitment from participants to foster unity, collaboration, and shared responsibility in advancing the ideals and objectives of the All Progressives Congress across the senatorial district.
