“They Are Agents Of Darkness” — Senator Yayi’s Support Group, Doroyayi Emirates Movement, Blames Critics For Fueling EFCC/ICPC Investigation Into Yayi’s Birthday Celebrations

The Doroyayi Emirates Movement, a support group of Ogun West Senator, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as YAYI, has alleged that calls for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to investigate the distribution of electricity transformers across Ogun State during Senator Yayi’s 56th birthday celebrations were orchestrated by his enemies and detractors fearful of his significant influence in the Ogun political landscape.
In a statement made available to newsmen at Genesis Media Hub on October 28th, 2025, Prince Adeshobunmi Omolade, the Director General of the group, claimed that those behind the call are afraid of Senator Yayi’s growing influence in Ogun politics and are hiding under political factor to undermine his chances of becoming the Governor of Ogun State in 2027.
Omolade voiced strong support for the Senator, insisting that the accusations leveled against him were orchestrated by haters of good development, and those that hate light but cherish darkness “enemies of progress” within Ogun State. “These sabotagers of Ogun West’s aspirations are hiding under the guise of political influence,” Omolade stated, underscoring the unyielding commitment and loyalty of his group, the Doroyayi Emirates Movement to Senator YAYI. “They fear the weighty and prosperous name that Senator YAYI represents in our political landscape. The reports from those who seek to tarnish Senator YAYI’s name will not shake the faith and affection the people of Ogun have for him as we work towards his gubernatorial success in the upcoming 2027 elections”, Omolade concluded.
Omolade emphasized that despite the unfounded reports and malicious gossip spread by critics, the affection and support for Senator YAYI among the Ogun people remain unwavering strong. “The love that our people have for YAYI is not just political — it’s personal. He has been a steadfast provider, the people’s choice, and advocate for the community,” he remarked. “Those who seek to undermine his efforts will not succeed; the dream of Ogun West finally seeing a governor with Yayi as the chosen one from the zone is very much alive.”
