“If You’re Spending Money On Women, You’re Doing It Wrong” — Nigerian Singer, Spyro, Warns Men

Popular Nigerian singer, Spyro, has sparked widespread conversations on social media after advising men to focus on building wealth rather than spending excessively on women in a bid to impress them.
The music star made the remarks during a live stage performance, where he briefly paused his set to share personal insights on financial discipline, wealth creation, and long-term financial security.
Addressing the audience, Spyro cautioned men against what he described as unnecessary spending on women, stressing that such habits could hinder their financial growth and future stability.
“If you think you are here and you are spending money on women, you are wasting your time,” the singer told the crowd.
However, Spyro was quick to clarify that his comments should not be interpreted as discouraging men from supporting or caring for women. Rather, he emphasized the importance of avoiding reckless spending motivated solely by the desire to gain attention, validation, or admiration.
Drawing from his personal experiences, the singer recounted difficult moments in his journey, noting that many of the people around him disappeared when his finances declined.
“When money finished from my hand, I didn’t see anybody,” he said.
Spyro further encouraged men to channel their energy into productive ventures, build sustainable sources of income, and develop sound financial habits such as saving and investing.
According to him, many young men often prioritise luxury lifestyles, social validation, and romantic relationships at the expense of securing their financial future. He advised that true success comes from hard work, prudent financial management, and long-term investment strategies.
“As a man, put your head into work. When you start to make money, save up, invest,” he added.
