Cristiano Ronaldo etched his name even deeper into football history on Tuesday after becoming the first player ever to score in six different FIFA World Cup tournaments.
The Portugal captain achieved the remarkable milestone when he found the back of the net against Uzbekistan in Houston, giving his side an early lead just six minutes into the encounter.
The historic strike came at a crucial moment for the 41-year-old football icon, who had faced mounting criticism following a difficult run in major international competitions.
