Nigeria @ 66: Ikenne State Constituency Stands At Threshold Of New Dawn — Hon. Asiwaju Seyi Odumuyiwa

As Nigeria commemorates its 66th Independence Anniversary, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Member of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Ikenne State Constituency, Hon. Asiwaju Seyi Odumuyiwa, has called for renewed hope, collective responsibility, purposeful leadership, and a stronger commitment to building a better future for the people.
In his Independence Day message issued on October 1, 2026, Odumuyiwa congratulated Nigerians at home and in the diaspora, describing the anniversary as a significant reminder of the sacrifices of the nation’s founding generation and the enduring hope of a united and prosperous Nigeria. He also extended his New Month greetings to the people of Ikenne State Constituency, wishing families, traders, farmers, youths, and elders a month of favour, fruitfulness and renewed possibilities.
According to him, the significance of October goes beyond celebration, serving as an opportunity for Nigerians to reflect on the nation’s journey and recommit themselves to the collective task of nation-building.
Odumuyiwa acknowledged the challenges confronting the country and stressed that the realities of the present time require leadership that is accessible, accountable and responsive to the needs of the people. Looking specifically towards Ikenne State Constituency, he outlined a vision centred on improved infrastructure, functional schools, accessible healthcare, meaningful opportunities for youths, and greater economic value for farmers and traders.
He maintained that the constituency of tomorrow must be built through deliberate efforts and responsible service today, while presenting the vision as part of his commitment as he seeks the people’s mandate in the 2027 election. He further urged residents to preserve unity, embrace diversity and participate actively in the development of their communities, emphasizing that the future of Ikenne and Nigeria depends on collective action.
He concluded by wishing Nigerians a happy Independence Day and a fruitful October, while praying for continued progress in Ikenne State Constituency, Ogun State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
