The global world music award, The Grammy Awards, which is regarded to be the highest awards honour in the music industry, will be held tomorrow, Sunday, February 4th 2024, as many Nigerian musicians were nominated this year, both in the Afrobeats category and others. This time around, a newly announced Best African Music category by the Recording Academy gave room for more Nigerian artists to be nominated.

The Grammy Awards 2024 edition will be held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. This year editions had the African giant, Burna Boy in 4 different nomination categories, with the Unavailable hitmaker and the Omo Baba Olowo himself bagging three nominations. The Yoruba king local rapper and YBNL boss, Olamide Baddo and his signee Asake, Fireboy DML and CKay also features in one nominations respectively, while the likes of Ayra Starr and Tems also makes the list.

While we anticipate the Grammy Awards 2024 winners’ announcement, we present to you the list of Nigerian singers that were nominated for this year edition’s in their respective categories;

Fireboy DML and CKay earned a nomination each in the Album of the Year category for their efforts on Jon Batiste’s World Music Radio and Janelle Monáe’s The Age of Pleasure respectively.

Tems’ again, bagged nominations in the Best Song Written for Visual Media category for her contribution to Rihanna’s Lift Me Up.
