OGUN 2027: Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola’s Support Group, Doroyayi Emirate Movement, Pays Courtesy Visit To Elder Kunle Adeshina

In a heartwarming display of respect and solidarity, the Doroyayi Emirate Movement, a socio-political support group backing Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, also known as YAYI, representing the good people of Ogun West Senatorial District at the National Assembly, held a courtesy visit on October 8, 2025, to the esteemed Elder Hon. Adekunle Akanbi Adeshina, fondly referred to as Baba YAYI, in celebration of his 87th birthday. The event took place at Baba YAYI’s residence in Abeokuta North, Ogun State.
Leading the delegation, Prince Adeshobunmi Omolade, Director of the Doroyayi Emirate Movement, introduced the members of the visiting team and articulated the purpose of the visit: to congratulate Baba YAYI on his milestone birthday and pay homage to his contributions to the political landscape of Ogun State.
In his address, Prince Omolade outlined the ongoing efforts of the Doroyayi Emirate Movement, which operates across all 236 political wards in Ogun State. He noted the establishment of Ward Coordinators and Local Government Executives dedicated to mobilizing support for Senator YAYI’s gubernatorial ambition in 2027. Emphasizing the importance of collective action, Omolade encouraged all constituents in Ogun to unite in support of YAYI’s vision for a prosperous future.
“As the Doroyayi Emirate Movement, we aim to foster awareness and promote Senator YAYI’s aspirations across the state,” said Omolade. “We believe in the good governance and development that his tenure will bring.”
While paying tribute to Baba YAYI, Omolade expressed gratitude for the elder statesman’s guidance and leadership. He extended his best wishes for Baba YAYI’s health and prosperity in the years to come.
Baba YAYI, visibly moved by the visit, welcomed the delegation warmly. He imparted words of wisdom, encouraging the group to become exemplary ambassadors in their community. He also emphasized the importance of obtaining Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), urging the public to prepare for the upcoming elections in 2027.
“The PVC is your most powerful tool to ensure that your choice, Senator YAYI, becomes a reality,” Baba YAYI advised.
The delegation included prominent figures such as the distinguished leader of the movement Pastor Onaolapo (Baba Doroyayi), former APC Party Chairman, Odeda Local Government, Prince Hon Saheed Lawal, Ogun Central Senatorial Chairman; Mr. Kunle Akingbolamu, State Secretary; Mrs. Onaneye Adenike, State Woman Leader; and Hon. Shue, Sagamu Local Government Coordinator, among others.
As the afternoon progressed, the cordial atmosphere underscored the bond of respect and camaraderie between the elder statesman and the emerging political leaders of Ogun State, marking a significant moment in the buildup to the 2027 governorship elections.
