APC Women’s Directorate Celebrates Oluremi Tinubu Over Traditional Honours In Imo, Anambra
The National Women Mobilisation Directorate of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council has congratulated Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, on her conferment with prestigious traditional titles in Imo and Anambra States.
The First Lady was honoured with the title Oso Di Eme 1 of Imo State, while she was also conferred with the Ugoeze of Anambra State title during her official visit to the state.
In a congratulatory statement, the Director of Women Mobilisation, Dr. Betta Edu, described the honours as a fitting recognition of Senator Tinubu’s contributions to national development, social intervention initiatives and the welfare of vulnerable Nigerians.
Edu said the Imo title, Oso Di Eme, which signifies a woman who supports her husband, aptly reflects Senator Tinubu’s role as a supportive partner to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and her commitment to complementing the administration’s efforts through various social programmes.

According to her, while the President continues to discharge his responsibilities to the nation, the First Lady has remained actively engaged in initiatives designed to improve the lives of Nigerians, particularly women, children and vulnerable families.
The APC women’s mobilisation leadership also welcomed the recognition bestowed on Senator Tinubu in Anambra, where she received the Ugoeze title from HRM Igwe Chidubem Iweka in acknowledgement of her contributions to national development, grassroots interventions and support for the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Edu noted that the traditional honours conferred on the First Lady by the two South-East states demonstrate growing appreciation for her activities beyond political, ethnic and geographical boundaries.
Her visit to Anambra also featured the flag-off of the National Community Food Bank Programme, an initiative aimed at addressing child malnutrition and strengthening support for vulnerable families across the South-East.
The APC women’s directorate said the completion of the zonal rollout of the programme across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones represents an important milestone in the First Lady’s efforts to promote improved child nutrition and enhance social support for families in need.
At the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Senator Tinubu also inaugurated the RHI/TETFUND ICT Experience Centre, where she encouraged students to make responsible use of technology and take advantage of emerging opportunities, including developments in artificial intelligence.
She further flagged off the distribution of empowerment items provided by the Anambra State Government to 5,000 beneficiaries. Each beneficiary is expected to receive a financial grant of ₦100,000 as part of the empowerment initiative.
Edu commended the governments, people and traditional institutions of Imo and Anambra States for recognising and celebrating the First Lady’s contributions, describing the honours as a testament to her growing impact in communities and her commitment to improving the welfare of Nigerians.
She prayed for continued wisdom, strength, sound health and divine guidance for Senator Oluremi Tinubu as she continues to support the President and contribute to the implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
