During the event held at Ilisan Ultra Modern Hall, Ilisan Remo, on Thursday 7th July 2022, with students from different schools in Remo Land turned out massively for the maiden edition of the RYA Quiz Competitions.

The keenly contested competition saw participants from Federal Government Girls College Sagamu came 1st position and Christ Apostolic Grammar School, Iperu and Remo Anglican College took the first and second runner-up positions.

Winners at the competition smiled home with different prizes. The First position received scholarship for their West African Examination Certificate fees with Other consolation prizes.

The Chairman of the Educational Committee, Comrade Muyiwa Osularu who doubles as the General Secretary of Remo Youth Association also advocated quality education in our schools across the state.

He said we all need to be concerned about the future of our children which largely depends on the type of education they get.
“Quality education is a necessity in our modern age. This is because it opens the door to opportunities and innovations. More importantly, it makes Nigerians competitive in the global market.

In his remarks, the Chairman, Remo Youth Association, Comrade Yaya Onagbesan commend the state government to continue in there capacity to provide quality and free education in the state.
It is an eyesore that the quality of education has totally improved in the state because the administration of His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun -MFR, for providing totally free education in government owned school across the state, Yaya said.

He further appreciated the executive of RYA, the host community and everyone who contributed to the success of the competition, in no particular order; Engr Dele AMODA, Dr. Ope Agbato, Prince Adewale SHOKOYA, Comrade Damilola SOKOYA, YettyCherry Initiative, Hon. (Barr.) Solomon Osho, Hon. Sobukanla Olakunle, Hon. Adeniran Adeyinka, Hon. Bashir Oladunjoye, Mr. Sola Oyenuga, Alh. Chief Lukman Sodola, Comrade Odukoga Gbemiga.

Present at the competition were Comrade Gbenga Odumosu the coordinator NYCN Ikenne local government, Comrade Chris Olokodana the coordinator NYCN Remo North local government and other notable dignitaries.
