Governor Dapo Abiodun’s Aide, Engr. Olusola Fadipe (Peterfad) Hosts Historic Ramadan Lecture, Gives Free Iftar For Over 800 Muslim Faithfuls In Remo North LG

In a landmark event for the Muslim community in Remo North Local Government, Engr. Olusola Fadipe, popularly known as Peterfad; the Special Assistant on Parks and Gardens to Governor Dapo Abiodun, organized the first-ever public Ramadan lecture and free iftar gathering today, March 10th, 2025. The event took place at Asano Quarters via Wesley School, drawing over 800 Muslim faithfuls from the region.

The gathering featured Alhaji Abdul Rahman Shittu as the guest lecturer, marking a significant initiative as the first Ramadan engagement sponsored by a political appointee from Remo North. The event was attended by esteemed figures, including Oyeleke Folajuwon Oluwole, the APC aspirant for the House of Representatives; Mr. Ologunde, the APC Remo North party chairman; and Senator Odujinrin, along with other political leaders, prominent Islamic clerics, community youths, and a wide array of attendees from the public.

During his address, Peterfad expressed his commitment to providing free iftar meals for the Muslim community throughout the remaining days of Ramadan, with a target of serving over 800 individuals daily. “This initiative reflects my dedication to our community and my love for the entire Muslim faithful. We are all brothers in love, unity, and harmony,” he stated.
Alhaji Shittu, while addressing the crowd on the topic “True Love in Politics and Society,” commended Peterfad for his efforts in taking the lead to support the Muslim community through this innovative programming. He emphasized that this initiative was a groundbreaking effort by a politician in the area and highlighted its significance in nurturing communal ties.
The event commenced at 4 PM and was characterized by a peaceful atmosphere, with a robust turnout that showcased the strong sense of community among attendees.
Peterfad assured the audience that the free iftar program will continue as a regular offering during Ramadan, further contributing to the spirit of togetherness and support within the Remo North community.
