For finishing with the best results in their 2023/2024 academic session, the best students of Sagamu High School (Junior Secondary School section) in Sagamu, area of Ogun State, has won a prize cash of hundred thousand naira from the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Niyifola Limited, Omooba Adeniyi Adesola Idowu.
Niyifola has he’s fondly called, rewarded the excellence attained by the students at the valedictory service and prize giving day organised by the school authority, held on July 24th, 2024, at the school hall.
The winner for each of the award categories from JSS 1 to JSS 3 of the school was legitimately picked by the school authority with three subjects; Maths, English, Yoruba and as well as Sport, selected as the needed subject for the award categories, from each classes and fully rewarded by Niyifola.
At the event, the winners of the award categories in Mathematics, English and Yoruba Language from JSS 1, 2 and 3, and as well as the overall best student of the school in sport, were announced and rewarded with ten thousand naira cash, respectively.

Speaking at the event, Omooba Adeniyi Adesola Idowu, who was also an alumni of the school, humbly represented by Aare Kayode Okeowo, popularly known as Ikenga, said the prize cash rewards was as a result of Niyifola’s believe in the instrumentality of education as a tool for national growth and development, noting Omooba Idowu in his philanthropic gesture has promise to do more better in fostering the education standard of the young ones.
“While commending and congratulating you all on your success of this valedictory service, I appeals to you all to study harder to improve on your current best and beyond”, Ikenga said, while he urged the beneficiaries of the award categories to place premium on their studies, adding that the importance of education cannot be overemphasized, as it opens up a horizon that could never be forsaken.
“Do not be discouraged, creatively adapt to the school educational scheme and discover ways of overcoming challenges and obstacles that may be on your way to achieving your goals,” Ikenga said while inspiring the students to do more better.
While appreciating the kind hearted gesture of Niyifola towards his alma mater school, the school principal said the programme was designed to identify serious and talented students and as well as to encourage other students to do more improvement in their academic carrier and to also prevent interruptions in their journey.
According to the school principal, Niyifola through his generosity have set example and identified the need to assist in the area of education mostly in impoverished communities.
In attendance at the event were parent’s and guardians of the school students, the school teachers, and amongst many others.
