Remo Youth Association Inaugurates Empowerment Committee To Support Vulnerable Youth In Remo Land

As part of its commitment to fostering youth empowerment and development across Remo land, the Remo Youth Association (RYA), under the leadership of its Chairman, Comrade Bidemi Solarin, has inaugurated an Empowerment Committee to drive initiatives aimed at uplifting vulnerable youth in the region. The inauguration took place on March 29, 2025, at the Akarigbo Palace, Sagamu, with the newly inaugurated committee set to spearhead an empowerment program in May 2025, in collaboration with the Remo Growth and Development Foundation (RDGF).

The Empowerment Committee will be chaired by Hon. Muyiwa Osularu from Ikenne Local Government, alongside other members: Comrade Oluwamuyiwa Ogunbote (Remo North), Comrade Taofeek Adeshina (Ikenne Local Government), Comrade Yetunde Lawani (Sagamu Local Government), and Comrade Ogundeyin Babatope (Sagamu Local Government).

During the inauguration, RYA Chairman Comrade Bidemi Solarin urged the committee members to discharge their duties diligently, leveraging their diverse experiences to create meaningful opportunities for young people in Remo. He reiterated the association’s commitment to sustainable youth development and economic empowerment.

In his remarks, Hon. Osularu, a respected community leader with vast experience in youth and community development, expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him. He assured that the committee would work tirelessly to implement impactful programs that will equip young people with essential skills and resources for self-sufficiency and growth.

The upcoming Empowerment Program will provide vocational training, financial assistance, material support, and mentorship opportunities for vulnerable youth across Sagamu, Ikenne, and Remo North local governments.

This initiative reinforces RYA’s dedication to fostering economic growth and social stability in the region, ensuring that young people have the necessary tools to become self-reliant and productive members of society.
