In his bid to complement the qualitative education programme of Prince Dapo Abiodun led government in Ogun State, the local government legislator, and Councillor representing the good people of Ijagba (Ward 7) Sagamu, Hon. Idris Oluwaseun Awoderu sponsor’s a two weeks intensive revision coaching for Primary 6 pupils in Ijagba, area of Sagamu Local Government, Ogun State.

The 2 weeks free revision coaching which began on Tuesday, 9th — Saturday 20th July, 2024, from 2:30p.m to 3:30pm (Monday to Friday), at L.G Primary School, Ijagba, currently enjoyed by over 100 pupils, was said to be part of Hon. Awoderu quest to improve the education standard of children in the local area.

Awoderu, dully represented by his Special Assistant on Media, Comr. Saliu Olamide Daniel, popularly known as Genesis, stated shortly after inspecting the success of the ongoing programme at the L.G Primary School, Ijagba, Sagamu.

He explained that the program is designed to keep the pupils focused educationally and to impact more academic knowledge in them instead of wandering about during the summer break, noting the knowledge that will be gained during the revision coaching would enhance the academic performance of the pupils ahead of their next academic session, as well as to get them ready for their next examination “Common Entrance Exam” to secondary schools.

In addition to the program, Hon. Awoderu has also set up a male and female fashion designer to take proper measurement of the pupils for provision of secondary school uniforms to all the entire outgoing primary 6 pupils of the school, as a contributions to relief the parents from the next level expenses.

The lawmaker also admonish parents and guardians to control the activities of their children during the holiday.

He said, “The children’s extra curriculum activities should be given adequate attention instead of over labouring their children with street trading and hawking which distracts them from educational activities. The intensive coaching is free. Hence, parents have no excuse, while also advised the pupils to explore the opportunity provided by the exercise to refresh their academic performance”.

According to him, the current revision coaching programme is managed by seasoned and competent tutors in line with the present academic curriculum.

“Also, in additions to the coaching and distribution of secondary school uniforms to the outgoing primary school pupils, note books and textbooks shall be distributed for the beneficiaries as soon as they resume for the next academic session”, Hon. Idris Oluwaseun Awoderu said.
