‎New Ibadan Fuji music artist, Alhaji Tiri Agbolagade Alamu, better known as Tiri Leather, has called out fellow musician Alhaji Taye Adebisi Currency for his performance at the 44th coronation ceremony of the Olubadan. Tiri Leather, renowned for his energetic style, took to his verified social media accounts on Saturday, September 27, 2025, to critique his colleague’s recent achievement.

‎In a post that stirred up discussions among fans, Tiri Leather wrote, “Our colleague is a record breaker, the first Fuji artist to perform ‘were’ at a coronation event. My brother is trending, but let’s tread carefully, Elegbon Agba.”

‎This statement sparked mixed reactions, particularly among the fanbases of both artists, with Taye Currency supporters expressing their discontent over Tiri Leather’s remarks.

‎According to Eko4Show, Tiri Leather has recently gained significant attention after legendary Fuji artist Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, known as Oganla Fuji, took him under his wing as his protégé. Since then, Tiri Leather has seen a surge in his popularity, particularly this year, with successful international tours in the UK and the US, alongside Alhaji Pasuma and Fuji promoter Sir Ayo Jamiu.

‎Tiri Leather’s rise in the Fuji music scene highlights the evolving dynamics and competitive spirit within the genre, as established artists and newcomers alike navigate their paths to stardom.
