‎Remo Consensus Reached As APC Rep. Aspirants, Elders, Leaders, Stakeholders And Constituents Endorses Hon. Funmilayo Efuwape (FAECO) As Party Flagbearer For 2027 MHR Bids

‎In a landmark display of unity and democratic maturity, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Remo Federal Constituency has unanimously endorsed Hon. Funmilayo Efuwape, popularly known as FAECO, as its consensus candidate for the 2027 House of Representatives elections.

‎The endorsement, which took place on April 4, 2026, at the APC Party Secretariat in Ikenne Local Government, brings together the three local government areas of Sagamu, Ikenne, and Remo North, collectively forming the Remo Federal Constituency. Hon. Efuwape, a former Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government and two-time Commissioner for Women Affairs and Special Duties & Intergovernmental Affairs, respectively, received the backing of party leaders, elders, executives, and constituents in a gathering that underscored the party’s commitment to equity, fairness, and rancor-free electioneering.

‎Prince Adedoyin Adeleke (Baba Asoludero), the Ogun East Senatorial Chairman of the APC, described the endorsement as a testament to the party’s resolve to ensure a seamless and inclusive electoral process.

‎”The elders, stakeholders, executives, and constituents of the three local government areas are all here to unanimously endorse our candidate. This is not a one-man show; it is a collective endorsement by all party faithfuls,” Prince Adeleke stated.

‎Echoing this sentiment, Ogun State Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Ola Oresanya, highlighted Hon. Efuwape’s distinguished track record of tenacity, party loyalty, and goal-getting ability as pivotal factors in the party’s decision.

‎”Efuwape has worked tirelessly for the party. She has worked for other candidates, even when she was denied the ticket, she always threw her strength behind ensuring victory for the party. This is our payback time for her,” Mr. Oresanya added.

‎Further reinforcing the spirit of unity, Otunba Dare Odufowokan, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Information, emphasized that the constituency had demonstrated that democracy can indeed be devoid of rancor and infighting.

‎”We have shown here today that democracy can be seamless, and that we can agree on a standpoint to achieve a purpose. The majority of aspirants are here and have all agreed with the decisions of the leaders and elders of the party. We are moving into the 2027 general elections as a united front to win landslide all available positions in Ogun State and Nigeria,” he stressed.

‎The endorsement was formally moved as a motion by Dr. Dapo Ojukoya from Ikenne Local Government Area and seconded by Hon. Adeniyi Akinsanya from Remo North Local Government Area, cementing a collective resolve that positions the APC Remo Federal Constituency as a formidable force heading into the 2027 elections.
