ROAD TO 2027: FAECO Gains Fresh Boost As Mafe Political Movement Declares Support

The Mafe Political Movement has declared its readiness to work for the success of Hon. Mrs. Olufunmilayo Efuwape, popularly known as FAECO, and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across Remo Land ahead of the 2027 general elections. The declaration was made on Thursday, September 3, 2026, during a courtesy and familiarisation visit by the leadership of the political movement to FAECO at her campaign office in Sagamu, Ogun State.

The group, established in honour of the late former Majority Leader of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Asiwaju Yinka Mafe, was led by its Coordinator, Dr. Lawal Ismail Akinlade. Dr. Akinlade described the movement as a grassroots political force with members and supporters spread across the 35 wards of the Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo North Federal Constituency. He said the group remains committed to the advancement of the APC and will continue mobilising its members and political structures towards securing victory for the party’s candidates in the 2027 elections.

Hon. Damilare Mohammed Bello, APC candidate for the Ogun State House of Assembly, Sagamu I (Offin) State Constituency, commended the leadership of the movement for sustaining the legacy of the late Hon. Yinka Mafe. He urged members to remain focused and united while working in line with the party’s leadership and established structure, stressing that collective commitment remains essential to achieving the APC’s electoral objectives.

Responding, FAECO expressed appreciation to the leadership and members of the Mafe Political Movement for their visit, support and confidence in her aspiration. She emphasised that the strength of the APC lies in its unity and ability to work together, noting that the success of every candidate must be regarded as a collective responsibility.

The House of Representatives hopeful further called for loyalty to the party, mutual respect among members and a sustained spirit of collaboration as preparations for 2027 continue. According to her, the political journey ahead requires the collective strength of every stakeholder, group and supporter, with the overall progress and victory of the APC taking priority over individual interests.

The engagement ended on a note of renewed commitment, with a shared resolve to strengthen party unity and mobilise support across the constituency. As the race towards 2027 gradually gathers momentum, the meeting reinforced a common message: unity, loyalty and collective action remain the foundation for a stronger and victorious APC family across Remo Land.
