The star forward, Mayowa scored an hat-trick to help his team record an emphatic 3-0 win over Muslim All Stars making him the first player to net an hat-trick in the history of the competition.
Meanwhile, Atoyo Happy Day battle it up with Eniola FC in a goalless kick off match as they open the competition’s match today at Muslim High School.
In an encounter match between Atoyo FC vs Muslim All Stars, lots of goals reins as Atoyo FC recorded a successful victory over their rival, Muslim High School in a match that ended in 3-0 win in favour of Atoyo FC while Sode FC crushed down Muslim All Stars in a blooded match that ended in 3-1 down, in victory of Sode FC.
During an interview session with youths and residents at the match venue, some residents in their reactions urge government, dignitaries and wealthy personalities in Sagamu and Ogun State to show more commitment to the youth in terms of social responsibility and youth development.
Some urged the wealthy dignitaries to help youths in the area spot their talents by doing everything humanly possible to secure playing facilities in the area.
“It’s time the government should see football as a big business because it is obvious that there are talents around”, another football fan says.
Moreso, various residents at the venue also applause the leadership of Association Of Sabo Sagamu Youth Leaders led by Comr. Olusola Bashiru Aina for bringing this football competition alive while some hails the competition as a tools for promoting peace, unity and harmony in the midst of the youth. Others in there reactions pray for the organizers as they urge them to continue to develop the competition time to time, as this will be an opportunity for many footballers to develop their talents as there are likes of Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar, etc in this community that are looking for well planned competition to showcase their skills and dreams.
