Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, made a triumphant return to the Senate on Tuesday at approximately 11:42 a.m., concluding her six-month suspension.

Entering the chamber with a smile and an air of confidence, she greeted fellow senators before taking her seat. Accompanied by a steadfast group of supporters, including activist Aisha Yesufu, Akpoti-Uduaghan was welcomed back by attendees in the gallery.

Her return follows a recent court ruling characterizing her suspension as excessive, prompting the Senate to reopen her office. This decision came after the Senate had initially insisted on her suspension due to ongoing litigation.

Akpoti-Uduaghan’s comeback is particularly noteworthy amidst the ongoing controversy regarding her allegations of sexual harassment against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

He emphasized the importance of cohesion and collective commitment as the party prepares for future political engagements. ‎ ‎In his remarks, Prince Obademola lauded the strong turnout and seized the moment to formally present Niyifola to the party hierarchy. He described him as a loyal and active member of the APC with deep grassroots connections in Ward 14 and beyond. Highlighting his numerous contributions, Obademola noted that Niyifola has consistently demonstrated commitment to party growth and community advancement, making him a worthy aspirant. ‎ ‎Addressing the gathering, Niyifola expressed heartfelt appreciation for the support and solidarity shown by party members.
