“Signature Not Forgery, I Signed It” — Ijoku Community Youth Vice President, Comrade Sokoya Musbaudeen, Breaks Silence On RYA 2026 Election’s Controversy, Backs Genesis

The Vice President of the Ijoku Community Youth Association, Comrade Sokoya Musbaudeen, on April 20th, 2026, has publicly addressed the controversy surrounding the nomination form of Comrade Saliu Olamide Daniel Owoseni, popularly known as Genesis, who contested for the position of General Secretary in the Remo Youth Association (RYA) 2026 elections.
Speaking in response to allegations of Community Youth President signature forgery, Comrade Sokoya firmly stated that the signature in question was genuinely appended by him and not forged by the candidate, as being speculated in some quarters.
According to him, the President of the Ijoku Community Youth Association, Comrade Apelogun Lukman, was unavailable at the time the nomination form was due for submission. In order to ensure that the Ijoku community did not miss the official deadline and that its candidate remained eligible, he took the responsibility of signing the document in his capacity as Vice President.
He further explained that his action was taken in good faith, with the sole intention of meeting the submission timeline and protecting the interest of the community. He also revealed that the President was duly informed afterwards and his attention was officially drawn to the matter.
Comrade Sokoya emphasized that Comrade Genesis had no hand in forging any signature, insisting that the accusations against him were false, misleading, and should be disregarded by members of the public.
He called on stakeholders, youths, and members of the association to allow peace, fairness, and unity to prevail, while urging all concerned parties to focus on the progress of the Remo Youth Association rather than unnecessary distractions.
The statement is expected to calm tensions and provide clarity on the matter, as many await further developments regarding the RYA 2026 electoral process.
