‎OGUN 2027: Abiodun Declares Yayi A Worthy Successor, As CAUCUS 7202 Mobilises Over 200,000 Supporters In Mega Rally, Targets 2 Million Votes

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has described the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as YAYI, as a worthy successor capable of sustaining and advancing the achievements of his administration. ‎‎The Governor made the declaration on Thursday, September 10th 2026, at the CAUCUS 7202 Mega Rally held at the Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu-Ode, where party leaders, members, support groups and a large crowd of enthusiastic supporters gathered to demonstrate their support for the APC and its candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.

‎‎The rally, organised under the theme “One People. One Voice. One Future,” also showcased the growing mobilisation strength of CAUCUS 7202, one of the major support groups backing the APC candidates.

‎The group reportedly mobilised a massive crowd for the event, with its leadership reaffirming the commitment of its members to campaign and vote for APC candidates across the State. The group, which boasts an estimated membership of almost 200,000 people, pledged continued grassroots mobilisation and support for the party ahead of the 2027 elections.

‎Governor Abiodun, while addressing the gathering, emphasised the importance of a peaceful and rancour-free transition of power, noting that continuity in governance is essential to protecting investments, sustaining development and improving the welfare of the people.

He expressed confidence in Senator Adeola’s experience, competence and understanding of governance, describing him as a politician with the capacity to manage both human and material resources effectively.

‎‎According to the Governor, Adeola possesses the political experience and administrative understanding required to build on the achievements recorded by the present administration and move Ogun State forward.

‎In his remarks, Senator Adeola expressed appreciation to Governor Abiodun, the leadership of CAUCUS 7202, APC leaders and the thousands of supporters who turned out for the rally.

‎Adeola described the impressive turnout as a reflection of the growing strength of the APC and pledged that his administration, if elected, would build on the foundation laid by Governor Abiodun.

‎He assured the people that his administration would prioritise inclusive governance, describing the people as partners in the development of Ogun State.

‎The APC governorship candidate further pledged to sustain ongoing projects, consolidate existing achievements and ensure that investments attracted to the State translate into greater economic opportunities and improved living conditions for residents.

‎Adeola also set an ambitious target of securing two million votes in Ogun State for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging APC members, support groups and grassroots stakeholders to intensify mobilisation across the State.

The mega rally was attended by prominent APC figures, including Governor Dapo Abiodun; Alhaja Kudirat Abiodun Balogun, APC Deputy Governorship Candidate; her husband, Hon. Abdulrasaq Balogun; APC Ogun State Chairman, Chief Yemisi Sanusi; Senators Lekan Mustapha and Akin Odunsi; as well as other party leaders, stakeholders and supporters.

‎The event further reinforced the APC’s message of unity, continuity and sustained development, while underscoring the importance of grassroots mobilisation as the party prepares for the 2027 general elections.
