Remo 2027: FAECO Deepens Grassroots Engagement In Ogijo, Visits Ologijo Palace, Opens Campaign Office And Hosts Free Medical Outreach
The 2027 APC candidate for the House of Representatives for Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo North Federal Constituency, Hon. Mrs. Olufunmilayo Efuwape, popularly known as FAECO, has continued her grassroots engagements ahead of the 2027 elections with a series of activities in Ogijo, Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun State.
On Thursday, September 24, 2026, FAECO paid a courtesy visit to the palace of the Ologijo of Ogijo, His Royal Highness Oba Kazeem Olaonipekun Gbadamosi, Okuselu I, as part of her ongoing consultations with traditional rulers, community leaders and other stakeholders across the federal constituency.
FAECO was accompanied by members of her campaign team and supporters during the palace visit, where she paid homage to the monarch and formally presented her political aspirations ahead of the 2027 electoral process.
The engagement provided an opportunity for the APC candidate to seek the monarch’s counsel, goodwill and prayers while also listening to issues of importance to the Ogijo community.
In his remarks, Oba Gbadamosi welcomed the delegation and offered counsel on the responsibilities that accompany political leadership. The monarch urged political actors to approach the electoral process with maturity, humility, tolerance and respect for people across political divides.
He stressed the importance of maintaining peace and harmonious relationships within the community, noting that political differences should not become grounds for hostility, division or confrontation.

Responding, FAECO expressed appreciation to the Ologijo for the warm reception, fatherly advice, prayers and guidance.
She reaffirmed her commitment to a people-centred approach to politics, stressing that effective representation should be built on consultation, inclusiveness, accessibility and a clear understanding of the concerns of constituents.
FAECO said she would continue to engage traditional rulers, community leaders, youth groups, women, professionals, religious organisations and other stakeholders across Ikenne, Sagamu and Remo North in her efforts to understand their priorities and present her vision for representation.
She also emphasised that political participation should be focused on service to the people and community development rather than personal confrontation or political hostility.

Following the palace visit, FAECO and her team proceeded to the newly established FAECO Campaign Office in Ogijo, where the facility was formally commissioned.
The campaign office is intended to function beyond a conventional political office, serving as an additional grassroots engagement point where residents can interact with members of the campaign team, communicate their concerns, exchange ideas, receive campaign information and participate in constituency-level activities.
The establishment of the office is also expected to provide a more accessible channel for sustained engagement between the campaign organisation and residents of Ogijo as political activities ahead of the 2027 elections continue.
As part of activities surrounding the commissioning, FAECO also organised a free medical outreach that reportedly benefited more than 1,000 residents of Ogijo.
The outreach provided residents with access to basic medical attention and health-related services at no cost, adding a community-focused component to the campaign office commissioning.
The initiative also brought healthcare-related support closer to residents and highlighted the importance of community-level engagement on issues affecting the welfare and wellbeing of the people.
The combination of the royal palace visit, stakeholder engagement, commissioning of the campaign office and free medical outreach marked a significant day in FAECO’s ongoing grassroots activities in Ogijo.
