In a bid to create gender balance by giving women chance to exhibit the great talents and skills in them, the leadership of Remo Youth Association ably led by Com. Yaya Onagbesan appointed Com. Adebowale Aderonke a.k.a Empress MO as the Chairperson, Remo Youth Day Planning Committee.

Remo Youth Day is an annual event of Remo Youth Association usually schedule for every December. The Celebration features events ranging from Summit, Community Service, Sports, Empowerment among others.

The appointment was unveiled at the Palace of Onijagba of Ijagba on Sunday 11th of September, 2022 during the monthly meeting of Remo Youth Association. Other committee members who were also appointed include; Com Ismael Adekunle (Ariye), Com. Yetunde Lawani(Ogijo), Com. Siwajuola Elijah Damilare (Iperu), Com. Adeniyi Adekanbi( Ode Remo), Com. Folorunso Gbeminiyi (Ilara). Com. Saliu Olamide Daniel (Ijoku).

“I’m from a school of thought that believe “What a man can do, a woman can do also if not better”. Com. Aderonke have what it takes to make things happen likewise all those who were appointed. The committee is to work with the entire executives of Remo Youth Association”, Com. Onagbesan said.

While everyone at the meeting congratulated the committee members, they have been charged to swing into action with terms of reference.

The meeting have in attendance youth leaders from each communities, L.G Youth leaders, former Chairmen of Remo Youth Association and the State Youth leaders that are from Remoland.
