Bank Heist Attempt Foiled: Suspected Thief Found Hiding In Ceiling
Panic ensued at an FCMB bank branch in Lagos when a suspected thief was discovered concealed in the ceiling, allegedly trying to compromise the bank’s systems overnight.
According to eyewitness accounts, the man entered the bank during normal business hours and discreetly locked himself in the restroom. From there, he climbed into the ceiling, remaining hidden until the bank closed for the day and the staff departed.
The following morning, employees arrived to find one of the doors suspiciously locked from the inside. When they managed to force it open, they were astonished to find the intruder allegedly tampering with the bank’s computer systems. Some screens reportedly displayed strange messages, including “restarting click ok to accept.”
In a now-viral video, the suspect is seen pleading for mercy, asserting that he operated alone. Although the bank has not yet released an official statement, several clips show him being detained and roughly handled by security personnel on-site.
