In a resounding message to Nigerians, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has asserted that his administration has effectively realized the “change agenda” promised by the All Progressives Congress (APC) a decade ago. Speaking on Tuesday during a visit to Imo State, where he attended a book launch and inaugurated various completed projects, Tinubu declared, “The Promise of Change Has Been Fulfilled.”
Reflecting on the progress made since the APC assumed power, Tinubu emphasized that Nigeria has emerged from a period of significant struggle. “Ten years ago, our esteemed party, the APC, came into office with a commitment to change. That change is tangible today,” he stated.
As part of his address, the president defended the reforms implemented under his leadership, asserting that they are guiding the nation toward better prospects. He dismissed criticisms of his policies, suggesting that detractors lack a comprehensive understanding of economic principles. “Our critics can say what they will; they simply do not grasp the complexities of financial engineering and progressive methodologies. We possess a clearer vision of our path forward,” he emphasized.
During his visit, which attracted attention from political leaders, stakeholders, and residents, President Tinubu not only participated in the book launch but also commissioned several key infrastructure projects in Imo State.
Reiterating his government’s dedication to national development, Tinubu assured citizens of his firm commitment to economic reform and sustainable growth. He acknowledged existing challenges but conveyed optimism about ongoing progress across all sectors. “We pledged change, and now I can affirm that the worst has passed. Nigeria is on a different trajectory than it was ten years ago,” he concluded.
