Make It Done Of Ijagba Commiserates With Amusan’s Family Over The Demise Of Late Patriarch Odofin Tajudeen Sunday Amusan

A prominent socio-life base in Ijagba, Sagamu, area of Ogun State, the Make It Done, has extended heartfelt condolences to the family of High Chief Tajudeen Sunday Amusan, the respected Odofin of Ijagba and holder of the traditional title Oba Isegun of Ijagba Land. High Chief Amusan, who also served as Commissioner for Youth in Ijagba, passed away in the early hours of Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the age of 76 after a brief illness.
In an official communique, Make It Done described High Chief Amusan as “a pillar of strength and wisdom” whose lifetime of service to Ijagba left an enduring imprint on local governance, cultural life, and youth development. The statement lauded his unwavering dedication to fostering peace, promoting cultural heritage, and nurturing unity across communities in Ijagba.
High Chief Amusan’s leadership was characterized by active engagement in community development initiatives and mentorship of younger generations. Colleagues and residents recall his hands-on approach to resolving communal matters, supporting youth programmes, and championing projects that strengthened local institutions. His combined roles as a traditional leader and as Commissioner for Youth reflected a rare bridge between customary authority and civic responsibility.
He is survived by his devoted wife, his children and numerous relatives who will carry forward his legacy. Among his children is Comrade Afusat Amusan — affectionately known as Ologe — who serves as Treasurer of the Sagamu Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN). Make It Done specifically extended sympathies to Comrade Afusat and her siblings, noting that her commitment to youth empowerment mirrored the values instilled by her father.
As news of his passing spread, tributes poured in from across Ijagba and beyond. Community leaders, youth groups, and residents have taken to social media and local forums to share recollections of High Chief Amusan’s warmth, counsel, and impact. Many highlighted his role in sustaining cultural traditions while actively encouraging modern initiatives for the welfare of Ijagba’s younger citizens.
