APC Applauds President Tinubu’s Nationwide Free Technical Education Initiative

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed strong support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s recent announcement of a nationwide free technical education program. The party hailed the initiative as a “visionary and people-oriented policy” intended to equip young Nigerians with crucial practical skills, thereby securing the country’s future.
In a statement released on Monday by spokesperson Mogaji (Hon.) Seye Oladejo, the Lagos APC highlighted the significance of the policy in dismantling financial barriers to technical education. The program includes a monthly stipend of ₦22,500 for each student, aimed at supporting their educational journey.
“By eliminating financial hindrances, President Tinubu has paved the way for millions of young Nigerians to gain essential skills in technology, innovation, and vocational training—capabilities that are vital for driving industrial growth, fostering self-reliance, and ensuring economic resilience,” the statement emphasized.
The party characterized the stipend as a practical measure designed not only to boost enrollment but also to enhance students’ focus and dedication to their studies.
Reflecting on President Tinubu’s commitment to human capital development, the Lagos APC noted that the free technical education initiative aligns with his previous efforts as governor of Lagos State, where he introduced free education and made significant investments in educational infrastructure.
Furthermore, the APC criticized the opposition, asserting that those who “thrive on falsehood and idle distractions” will be overwhelmed by the president’s accomplishments.
“History will remember not their noise but his achievements,” the statement declared. “With the introduction of free technical education nationwide and a monthly stipend of ₦22,500 for every student, a new chapter has begun—one where skills, rather than limitations, will define the future of our youth.”
In conclusion, the Lagos APC affirmed its unwavering support for President Tinubu as his administration implements policies aimed at steering Nigeria towards a brighter and more progressive future.
