ASSYL Disburses Cash Support To Over 35 Affiliated Associations, Announces Resumption Of Environmental Sanitations

The Association of Sabo Sagamu Youth Leaders (ASSYL), under the capable leadership of Comrade Oluwafemi Osho, has successfully disbursed cash support to over 35 community youth associations as part of the celebrations for the 2024/2025 association end-of-year party, dubbed the Carnival.
At a recent gathering held at ASSYL Secretariat in Onijoku Hall, beside Eso-E Bank, Sabo Sagamu, Ogun State, marking the first general meeting of the association for the year 2025, Comrade Osho announced the cash disbursement was made possible through a generous donation of five hundred thousand naira from the ASSYL’s patron, Alhaji Samsondeen Adebayo Apelogun, popularly known as “All Rounder.” This initiative, according to the patron, aims to give back to the community and support the affiliated associations that are duly registered under ASSYL. Comrade Osho confirmed that the funds were shared peacefully among the various youth groups, using a well balance sharing modalities to disburse the funds.In addition to the financial support, Osho revealed that ASSYL is set to reintroduce its well-known environmental sanitation program. Scheduled for every second and last Thursday of the month, the clean-up initiative aims to encourage community participation in maintaining cleanliness within Sagamu. Highlighting the importance of this effort, he stated, “Cleanliness is next to holiness,” urging all members to actively partake in the cleanup campaign. Comrade Ayoo from the Onigbale Youth Association has been appointed as the Chairman of the Environmental Committee to oversee this initiative.

Osho also expressed the association’s anticipation of receiving sanitation tools from well-meaning individuals within the community, with updates regarding these donations to be communicated in due course.
Moreover, the association is excited to announce the long-awaited Sabo Sagamu Youth Day, which promises to be a landmark event. Comrade Osho encouraged everyone to stay tuned for updates, revealing that the event will feature empowerment opportunities, scholarships for students, an inauguration ceremony of new executives, inducting affiliated community associations under ASSYL, football competitions, cultural displays, sensitization rallies, and much more. “This year’s event will be the talk of the town in Sagamu,” he asserted, calling for community support to make it a resounding success.
With these initiatives, ASSYL is not only addressing immediate community needs but also fostering a spirit of unity and cooperation among the youth of Sagamu.
