Community Cleanliness: Association Of Sabo Sagamu Youth Leaders (ASSYL) Continues Bi-Monthly Environmental Sanitation Drive

In a spirited display of unity and commitment, the Association of Sabo Sagamu Youth Leaders (ASSYL), under the leadership of President Comrade Oluwafemi Osho, mobilized members and volunteers today February 13, 2025, for a crucial environmental sanitation exercise along Akarigbo Road in Sabo Sagamu, Ogun State.

Earlier this month, the association announced an initiative to conduct environmental sanitation exercises on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month, aiming to collaborate with the government in fostering a cleaner and healthier community for residents.

Today’s sanitation drive commenced at the old MTD Station and extended to the Mr. Biggs area, with participants focusing on cleaning roadside gutters and clearing debris to enhance drainage and overall sanitation. The initiative underscores ASSYL’s commitment to promoting hygiene and environmental awareness in Sabo Sagamu.

ASSYL Disburses Cash Support To Over 35 Affiliated Associations, Announces Resumption Of Environmental Sanitations

The effort, spearheaded by the Environmental Committee chaired by Comrade Ayoo, witnessed the participation of numerous youth-affiliated organizations from across the Sabo Sagamu community. Together, they worked diligently to ensure that the chosen routes were not only clean but also a source of pride for all residents.

Comrade Oluwafemi Osho emphasized the importance of community involvement, stating, “This is not just about cleaning our streets; it’s about instilling a sense of responsibility among our youth and fostering a culture of cleanliness that will benefit all residents.”

The initiative has been met with positive reactions from community members, highlighting the critical role youth play in civic engagement and environmental stewardship. As ASSYL continues this bi-monthly environmental sanitation exercise, the association hopes to inspire more community members to join in the efforts towards a cleaner and healthier Sabo Sagamu.
