FAECO Seeks Royal Blessings As Governor Abiodun Led APC Team To Presents Yayi To Remo Monarchs

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has continued its preparations for the 2027 elections with a courtesy visit to the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, Oba (Dr.) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, and members of the Remo Traditional Council.
The visit, which took place on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at the palace of the Akarigbo, was led by the Executive Governor of Ogun State and Ogun East Senatorial Candidate, His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON. The delegation included the APC governorship candidate, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as YAYI, his running mate, Alhaja Kudirat Adegunwa-Balogun, as well as other party leaders and candidates.
A major highlight of the royal engagement was the formal presentation of Senator YAYI as the APC candidate for the 2027 Ogun State governorship election, alongside the introduction of other candidates seeking elective positions across Remoland.
Among the candidates presented was Hon. Mrs. Olufunmilayo Efuwape, popularly known as FAECO, the APC candidate for the Remo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives. Other party leaders, stakeholders and candidates from across the state were also part of the delegation.

The engagement followed the inauguration of the Ogun State APC Campaign Council for the 2027 elections, where Governor Abiodun charged party members and campaign officials to intensify consultations, grassroots mobilisation and sustained engagement across the state. Reports on the campaign council inauguration also confirmed the governor’s directive for the party to commence immediate grassroots mobilisation ahead of the elections.
Speaking during the royal gathering, FAECO expressed appreciation to the Akarigbo and members of the Remo Traditional Council for the warm reception, fatherly guidance and royal prayers offered for Senator YAYI and the other APC candidates.
She also used the occasion to explain the key areas of her proposed Ijoba Ajumose agenda, which she said is centred on effective representation, community development and inclusive legislative engagement.
According to FAECO, the agenda would give particular attention to youth empowerment, opportunities for women and young people, infrastructure, education, healthcare, economic empowerment and stronger advocacy for the needs of communities within the Remo Federal Constituency.
She explained that the Ijoba Ajumose vision is built around collaboration, consultation and purposeful representation, with the objective of creating a stronger link between constituents and the National Assembly.
FAECO said her proposed approach would involve regular engagement with the people, listening to community concerns and ensuring that issues affecting constituents are properly articulated at the National Assembly and pursued through meaningful legislative interventions and development opportunities.
Reaffirming her commitment to service, she said her aspiration is to promote a style of representation that listens to the people, consults widely and remains responsive to the needs of the constituency.
“With purposeful leadership at the state level and effective representation at the Green Chamber of the National Assembly, Remo can continue to move forward and consolidate its development trajectory,” she said.
FAECO further appealed to the traditional rulers for their prayers, guidance and royal blessings as she prepares for the 2027 election, assuring them that, if given the mandate, she would regard the responsibility as an opportunity to serve the people and contribute meaningfully to the collective development of Remoland.
The royal engagement provided an opportunity for the APC candidates to formally interface with the traditional institution and reaffirm their commitment to continued consultation and engagement with communities across Remo as political activities ahead of the 2027 elections gather momentum.
