A chaotic scene unfolded this morning, November 5, 2025, at the Express Junction in Sagamu, following the overturning of a truck transporting plantains, which led to dangerous looting activities.
Witnesses reported that a large crowd swiftly gathered around the wreckage, engaging in reckless behavior that included siphoning petrol from the damaged fuel tank while simultaneously pillaging the plantains from the trailer.
This volatile mix of actions poses an imminent threat of fire or explosion due to the highly flammable nature of the fuel being extracted. The situation remains precarious, with participants focused on seizing goods without regard for the potential consequences, endangering both their own safety and that of others present at the Junction.
