NYCN Sagamu Branch Issues Stern Warning Against Unauthorized Representatives, Raises Alarm On Impersonation Scams
To Whom It May Concern,
This notice serves as a stern warning to any individual or group—particularly the impersonator and unidentified youths in Sagamu—who are fraudulently misrepresenting the Sagamu Branch of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) for personal gain. We have received credible reports that an individual is unlawfully using our organization’s name to solicit fees and funds intended for community support.
Specifically, the impersonator used the following fraudulent bank account details to deceive members of our community:

Account Number: 0049654030
Bank: Sterling Bank
On November 19, 2024, this account was fraudulently used to collect a sum of fifty thousand naira (₦50,000) from Mr. Sonuga Adedoyin Ahmed under the false pretense of raising funds for a community youth initiative linked to a Network Max installation at Ayegbami Jesuwalaye, Sagamu. The payment was made via GTBank, with the reference number: 000013241119183145000163890539.
Our legal team is actively investigating this fraudulent activity and is committed to ensuring that the perpetrator is identified and brought to justice. We have notified the management of Sterling Bank and are awaiting their response to assist in tracing the individual responsible.

We urge the public to exercise caution and verify any requests for financial contributions or partnerships in the name of NYCN Sagamu Branch. All legitimate transactions and inquiries regarding youth-related projects should be directed through our official channels.
