Omooba Adeniyi Adesola Idowu Commends NYCN Sagamu For Empowering Young Females Through Bakery Initiatives Training Program, Donates ₦200,000

In a remarkable display of philanthropy and commitment to youth empowerment, Omooba (Dr.) Adeniyi Adesola Idowu, FEIPA, has donated ₦200,000 to support the Bakery Initiatives Training Program organized by the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Sagamu Chapter.
The training program, which was started over a period of two weeks, was designed to empower young females in Sagamu through skills acquisition in bakery and confectionery production. A total of over 50 young females participated in the program and were presented with certificates and training tools as start-up empowerment.
Omooba Idowu, a former Social Director of the Sagamu NYCN, attended the graduation ceremony of the program, which was held at the Ewusi Palace, Sagamu, Ogun State, on October 31st, 2025. In his address to the congregation, he commended the executive leadership of the Sagamu NYCN, led by Comrade Yusuf Adebayo, for their remarkable initiative and charged the beneficiaries to view the training as an opportunity to begin their own journey to stardom and self-independence.
”I believe that the knowledge gained and the training received will uplift them to become entrepreneurs and business owners in their own right,” Omooba Idowu said.
The donation made by Omooba Idowu is a testament to his commitment to the development of the youth and the community. The program was well-attended by notable leaders, personalities, and dignitaries, including His Royal Highness Oba Timothy Oyesola Akinsanya, Ewusi of Makun Land, Alh. Samsondeen Apelogun (All Rounder), represented by Alhaji Olawale Polo, Chairman ACCOMORAN Sagamu, Hon. Nazir Odusote, Deputy Leader of the Sagamu Legislative Council and Councillor representing Ward 14, Comr. Adebisi Jolaoso (A1), Leader and former Secretary, Sagamu NYCN, and respected youths from across the community.
The Bakery Initiatives Training Program is a laudable initiative that has provided young females in Sagamu with the skills and knowledge needed to start their own businesses and become self-independent. The support shown by Omooba Idowu is a clear indication of his commitment to the empowerment of the youth and the development of the community.
The Sagamu NYCN commends Omooba Idowu for his philanthropic gesture and applauds the Sagamu NYCN for their efforts in organizing the Bakery Initiatives Training Program.
