Sagamu NYCN Empowers Over 50 Young Females With Bakery Initiatives Training, Gives Start-up Tools Empowerment, And Certificates

In a significant stride towards promoting youth empowerment and entrepreneurship, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Sagamu Chapter has successfully empowered over 50 young females in Sagamu with bakery initiatives training, start-up tools empowerment, and certificates.
The two-week training program, which was held at the Ewusi Palace, Sagamu, Ogun State, was designed to equip the young females with skills and knowledge in bakery and confectionery production, enabling them to start their own businesses and become self-independent.
The training program, which was organized by the NYCN Sagamu Chapter in collaboration with the Bakery Initiatives of Nigeria, was aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and economic empowerment among young females in Sagamu.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Comrade Yusuf Adebayo, the Coordinator of NYCN Sagamu Chapter, said that the training program was part of the council’s efforts to empower young people and promote entrepreneurship in the community.
”We believe that empowering young females with skills and knowledge is key to unlocking their potential and promoting economic growth in our community,” Comrade Adebayo said.
The beneficiaries of the training program were presented with start-up tools empowerment, including bakery equipment and ingredients, cooking gas and fry pan, as well as certificates, to enable them to start their own bakery businesses.
One of the beneficiaries, Miss. Adeola Olubunmi, expressed her gratitude to the NYCN Sagamu Chapter for the training program, saying that it had given her the skills and confidence to start her own business.
The training program was well-attended by notable monarch, leaders, personalities, and dignitaries, including His Royal Highness Oba Timothy Oyesola Akinsanya, Ewusi of Makun Land, Alh. Samsondeen Apelogun (All Rounder), represented by Alhaji Olawale Polo, Chairman ACCOMORAN Sagamu, Omooba (Dr.) Adeniyi Adesola Idowu, FEIPA, CEO/GMD, Niyifola Limited, Hon. Nazir Odusote, Deputy Leader of the Sagamu Legislative Council and Councillor representing Ward 14, Comr. Adebisi Jolaoso (A1), Leader and former Secretary, Sagamu NYCN, and respected youths from across the community.
Several community members and leaders commends the NYCN Sagamu Chapter for their efforts in organizing the Bakery Initiatives Training Program and applauds the beneficiaries for their commitment to learning and entrepreneurship. We believe that this initiative will go a long way in empowering young females in Sagamu and promoting entrepreneurship and self-independence in the community.
