Ijaya’s Demise: “A Dark Cloud Hangs Over Remo Land” – Remo Youth Association Mourns The Passing Of A Renowned Youth Empowerment Champion
The Remo Youth Association has announced with great sadness the passing of Rt. Hon. Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga, popularly known as Ijaya. According to Comrade ‘Bidemi Solarin, Chairman of the Remo Youth Association, Ijaya passed away on January 14th, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of courage, honesty, and resilience in her struggles for humanity.
Ijaya was a dedicated public servant who served as the Deputy Chief Whip in the 10th National Assembly, representing the Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo North Federal Constituency of Ogun State. She was renowned for her exceptional leadership and commitment to public service, particularly in her efforts to promote the growth and development of Remo Constituency.
The Remo Youth Association has expressed its deepest sympathies to Ijaya’s family, friends, and associates, urging fellow comrades to visit her family house to sign a condolence register in her honor. The association will communicate details of her funeral service in due course, in accordance with the family’s directives.
