Engr. Olusola Fadipe (Peterfad) Installed As Grand Patron Of Christian Association Of Nigeria (CAN), Remo North LG Chapter

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Remo North Local Government Chapter celebrated a significant milestone today with the official installation of Ogun S.A on Park and Gardens, Engr. Olusola Fadipe, popularly known as Peterfad, as the Grand Patron during a special ceremony held at St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Isara Remo. The event, which took place on Saturday, June 21st, 2025, was attended by numerous dignitaries, including government officials, community leaders, and religious leaders.

Welcoming attendees to the ceremony, the Remo North LG CAN Chairman, Apostle Yomi Osinowo, expressed gratitude to everyone present for honoring the occasion. He emphasized the vital role that the newly installed Grand Patron would play within the Christian community, urging members to continue seeking the Kingdom of God and supporting the development of the Church in Remo North and beyond.

Engr. Olusola Fadipe, in his remarks, expressed profound gratitude to God for the honor bestowed upon him and thanked the leadership of Remo North CAN for their confidence in his capabilities. He reaffirmed his commitment to actively support and contribute to the growth of the Christian community, promising that he would work diligently alongside other leaders to foster unity and progress.

The event drew a wide array of distinguished guests, including the Ogun State Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Ola Oresanya; Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Mr. Olusesan Fagbayi; Special Adviser on Housing, Prince Banwo Gbenga (Babangida); former Ogun East Senator, Sen. Olalekan Mustapha, and prominent political figures like Remo North APC Party Chairman and his counterpart from Sagamu, Pa. Rafiu Opaleye, among others. Several aspiring candidates for the House of Representatives in the Remo Federal Constituency were also present, with the likes of Princess Ayoola Adesola Elegbeji, Hon. Soyoye Akinyode Solomon (SAWI) ably represented by Mr. Abidogun Damilare, Hon. (Mrs.) Yetunde Ayoola Akinluyi (Omo Awokoya) represented by Hon. Sodiya Lateef Mayowa; S.A to Chairman on Youth & Sport, Sagamu Local Government, Mr. Abayomi Oluwole (Dudu), and several political figures, community and religious leaders, showing strong support for the Christian community’s initiatives.

In addition to Peterfad’s investiture, several other individuals were also installed as Life Patrons and Patronesses of the Remo North CAN, including Hon. Barr. Solomon Osho, a former member of the Ogun House of Assembly from Remo North Constituency, as well as Mr. Adewole Smith Oluwaloni (JP) and Hon. David Tayo Oluwole, were named Life Patrons. Life Patronesses included Mrs. Comfort Ebunoluwa Sodola and Mrs. Oladunjoye Eunice Olayinka, among others.

Speaking on behalf of the newly installed officers, Mrs. Olayinka conveyed her gratitude to the leadership of Remo North CAN for their dedicated service and for organizing a successful event. She highlighted the importance of collaboration among members to achieve the Association’s goals.

The day’s proceedings fostered a spirit of unity and commitment, as attendees reflected on the critical role of faith-based organizations in community development and the importance of engaging leadership within the Church. The event marked a hopeful beginning for the Christian community in Remo North, poised to undertake significant initiatives under the new leadership.
