Hon. Adewale Moshood Osho Mobilises Sagamu Residents For PVC Collection’s Ahead Of 2027 General Elections

Consultant to the Ogun State Governor, Hon. Adewale Moshood Osho, MIIA, has intensified efforts to mobilise eligible voters across Sagamu Local Government Area, urging residents to take advantage of the ongoing Permanent Voter Card (PVC) collection exercise being conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Speaking during a sensitisation campaign across various communities in Sagamu, Hon. Osho emphasized the importance of PVC collection as a critical civic responsibility and the gateway to active participation in the democratic process. He noted that every eligible voter must possess a valid voter card to exercise their constitutional right to vote during the 2027 General Elections.
The Governor’s Consultant encouraged residents who have registered but are yet to collect their PVCs to do so without delay, stressing that the nationwide collection exercise is scheduled to conclude in July 2026. According to him, failure to collect the cards before the deadline could disenfranchise many citizens from participating in future elections.
Hon. Osho further described the PVC as more than just an identification document, stating that it remains a powerful tool through which citizens can influence governance and contribute to the development of their communities through the ballot box.
He called on community leaders, youth groups, market associations, religious organisations, and other stakeholders to support the sensitisation drive by encouraging their members and followers to visit designated INEC collection centres and obtain their voter cards.
Reaffirming his commitment to grassroots political participation, Hon. Osho urged the people of Sagamu to embrace the exercise with seriousness and ensure they are fully prepared ahead of the 2027 electoral season.
The sensitisation campaign forms part of ongoing efforts to boost voter participation and strengthen democratic engagement across Ogun State as preparations gradually gather momentum for the next general elections.
