Makun 2027: Omooba Dr. Adeniyi Adesola Idowu, FEIPA, Meets APC Ward 14 Executives, Seeks Support Ahead Of His OGHA Ambitions

In a significant political engagement that further signals growing momentum ahead of the 2027 elections, Omooba Dr. Adeniyi Adesola Idowu, FEIPA, popularly known as Niyifola, a leading aspirant for the Ogun State House of Assembly, Sagamu II (Makun) Constituency, under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), paid a strategic visit to his political country home in Ward 14 of Sagamu Local Government Area on Sunday, March 8, 2026.
The meeting, which took place at the Ward 14 APC Party Secretariat, brought together the ward executives of the party for a familiarization and strategic engagement with the aspirant. The gathering was presided over by the Ward Chairman, Mr. Rasaq Obademola, who warmly received Niyifola and members of his team.
In his welcome remarks, Chairman Obademola expressed delight at the presence of Niyifola at the meeting, describing his visit as a demonstration of respect for the party structure and grassroots leadership. He commended Niyifola for his longstanding contributions to the APC and the Makun community, noting that his commitment to the growth of the party and development of the people has remained visible over the years.
Obademola subsequently introduced members of the ward executives to the aspirant, highlighting their roles in strengthening the party at the grassroots level.
Addressing the gathering, Niyifola expressed deep appreciation to the executives for the warm reception and the opportunity to engage directly with the leadership of the party in his ward. He also used the occasion to congratulate the newly inaugurated executives of Ward 14 on their emergence as the new leadership of the party, urging them to continue to uphold unity, dedication, and service in strengthening the APC.
During his speech, Niyifola formally declared to the executives of his aspiration to contest for the position of Member, Ogun State House of Assembly, representing Sagamu II (Makun) Constituency under the platform of the APC in the 2027 general elections. He humbly sought the support, cooperation, and endorsement of the ward executives as he prepares to pursue the party’s ticket and represent the good people of Makun Constituency.
The aspirant further elaborated on his plans, vision, and mission for effective representation if elected. He emphasized his commitment to people-oriented legislation, youth empowerment, community development, and policies that would improve the welfare of residents of Makun and Sagamu at large, reaffirming his readiness to bring experience, dedication, and purposeful leadership to the legislative arm of government.
Responding on behalf of the executives, Chairman Obademola commended Niyifola for his consistent contributions to the party and the community. He acknowledged the aspirant’s official declaration of his ambition and encouraged members of the ward executive to rally behind him.
According to Obademola, Niyifola remains a loyal and bonafide member of APC Ward 14, as well as an authentic son of the soil in the Makun community, whose aspirations deserve serious consideration and support within the party.
